S.A. "Sam" Jernigan is the founder and principal of Renaissance Consultations. She is responsible for managing client services and strategic marketing programs. Her focus includes helping clients gain access to the multitude of media opportunities in the marketplace, and designing creative and cost-effective methods for leveraging those contacts to establish market leadership.
A California native, Jernigan was born and raised in the Los Angeles area where she managed the field office of Assemblyman Bill McVittie (D-65th District) while accomplishing her undergraduate work in Political Science at Cal Poly, Pomona. She has worked for over 20 years in political campaigns ranging from local to presidential races. In recent years, she has served on paid staff for county and state senate campaigns locally. Renaissance Consultations was retained in the Fall of 1998 to serve as media liaison and grassroots organizer for the historic "Yes on Proposition 5" - the California Indian Self-Reliance Initiative on behalf of a consortium of Northern California tribes and contributed locally to the measure’s overwhelming success at the polls. While serving on the Steering Committee for Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-6th District), she concurrently held key marketing and administrative positions with the Sonoma County Bar Association.
Jernigan has also directed marketing programs for retail, financial services, winery, publishing, and nonprofit organizations among others working on regional as well as national projects. Interestingly, she also has an extensive background in the visual arts and, as a result, adroitly incorporates the visual elements of presentation into all of Renaissance’s marketing recommendations.

Additionally, other Renaissance team members draw from a variety of backgrounds in direct marketing, entertainment, event organization, politics, publishing, and graphic design. Renaissance Consultations was established in San Francisco's Northbay region in the mid-90's and relocated in 2004 to the tranquility of the Sierra foothills, appx. one hour east of Sacramento. Key affiliate offices are located in Studio City, California as well as Nashville and Washington, D.C. to fully service our expanding client base.
